Field Report #47
Sunday, November 6, 2016

I arrived at the park at 11:20 AM. The temperature was 78 and warming. The sky was mostly cloudy. This is one of the few field visits on consecutive days. My curiosity was up as to what may have happened over night. I didn't bring my bike for this visit, hiking only today. I was planning on exploring some more along the creek. I was ready to hike the trail and left my vehicle at 11:26 AM.

When I got near the trail bridge, I decided to go past the grassy area. I walked further east on the trail then left the trail (11:30 AM) and headed south thru the woods. This was a first for me. I encountered heavy brush and thorn bushes. This pushed me further back towards the grassy area.

I came out of the treeline near the old fire pit and ended entering the treeline at my normal entry at 11:50 AM.

On the way over, I found 2 water meter covers. One was just inside the east treeline and the other at the old fire pit. I carried them to the storage pipe for now. At the pipes, the setups were the same as I left them yesterday. No changes. I moved on to the deeper interaction spot.

Here were the observations noted:

#1. At the base of the food bucket tree, the open peanuts bag was on the ground.????

#2. The cereal bag was removed from the box.???? The empty box was put back into the bucket.???? The rock had to be removed to get the cereal box out.???? The rock was put back into the bucket opening.????

#3. and #4. The torn cereal bag was found approximately 5' away to the south of the food bucket tree.????

#5. The 15 lbs. kettle bell had been removed from the bucket and was on the ground.????

#6. The 'wolf-man' mask was moved perpendicular from were it was yesterday.???? Also it was face down.????

I had to move the rock from the bucket to see if the other food items were taken.

#7. This was the first time I recalled not all food items taken together. ???? The chewy bars and fruit were not taken.

#8. I put them back in the bucket and covered the opening with the large rock and kettle bell.

#9. and #10. Yesterday, I left 'Lil Joe Young' sitting straight up with the yellow rock keeping him in the sitting position.???? He was found leaning forward with his butt sitting on the yellow rock.???? actually, he looks to be bowing.????

#11. and #12. The yellow tire was removed from the tree crook it was in and was now on the ground.????

#13. and #14. The plastic deer corn container was removed from 'Clyde's' lap and arms and was upright in front of 'Clyde' and the bucket.???? No deer corn was removed prior containers recently have been opened and all the deer corn taken.

#15. Here's a new set-up: I moved the 'wolf-man' mask and arms/hands, to the balls container garbage. I stuffed in a bucket and put a number of the rocks around it.

I took a short break at 12:30 PM. I set up my camp chair and relaxed awhile. I wondered if the left food items from the bucket and the deer corn would be used later in the week? I would think so. I'll see.

At 1 PM I decided to head out to the creek area to explore for an hour. I had my timer and used it. There really seems to be a lot of sound pollution form outside the park. A lot of auto traffic can be heard as a major interstate is less than a mile away and a road cuts thru the park near here. Also a small airport is not far away and the weekend small airplane traffic is heavy.

#16. On the way out of the site, I left 2 cans of paint in the red tire opening.

#17. and #18. While walking towards the creek, on the grassy area, approximately 10' from the east treeline , I found what looked like a pointer ground glyph.????

#19. I continued the walk and started down the creek. The spot which looked like a 'blind', I noted in the past, I left a 'BF' drawing page and beads hanging in the limbs overhead.

#20 thru #22. Just north of the blind, I found this old tree twist.????

#23. I found this tire just inside the treeline. I took it and tied it off onto the tree crook along the north side of the creek to the east.

#24. and #25. At the 2nd 'blind', I hung another 'BF' drawing page and another set of beads.

Will these items left at the 'blinds' get messed with?

#26. The yellow caution tape marks my longest hike along the creek to date. At this point, I headed back to the pipes. I arrived at the pipes at 2:37 PM.

#27. These items were found inside the treeline along the creek. Different balls and a Sesame Street 'Elmo' doll.

#28 and #29. I added the 'Elmo' doll to a tree crook just outside the storage pipe. The monkey doll is nearby.

Well, seems a good bit of interaction took place overnight, etc. I was very happy with the visit.

This concludes Field Report #47 for Sunday November 06, 2016.
